Idiotic Trump tells WV voters not to vote in their primary election... say what?!?

Some day I’ll stop being amazed at the amazing ability of our wanna-be Dear Leader to seek out new and more outrageous ways to display his stupidity and narcissism to the world.

Today, as you might have guessed, is NOT the day.

This one hasn’t been widely reported by the main-stream-media. I only saw it reported on HuffPost, and even they missed the most outrageous implication of his statement.

“I actually wish the primaries were not over. It’s no fun this way,” Trump told a crowd of 13,000 at Charleston Civic Center in his first appearance as the last Republican candidate in the race. “You don’t have to vote anymore, save your vote for the general election. Forget this one, the primary’s done.”

Even just on the surface, this is a horrible thing to say. Democracy depends on people voting, and giving people the idea that they should pick and choose which election to vote in, and which to skip, is just plain poor leadership. Just one more example of what our incipient Maximum-Leader-for-Life stands for: himself.

The real problem with this is that, unlike here in Florida where there was only one race on the primary ballot — for President — in West Virginia, this is a full-blown primary, with dozens of offices on the ballot. On the same ballot, West Virginia’s GOP voters select the delegates to the GOP convention. Yeah, that’s the same process that tRump has been howling about the unfairness of… so his solution is to tell people to not vote.

But the absolute worst facet of this is that in West Virginia, the ‘primary’ isn’t just a primary…… there are actual elections on the ballot.

That’s right — on every county sample ballot I checked, there are many non-partisan races that will be decided in this ‘primary’: a justice of the WV Supreme Appeals Court, other judges at all levels, school boards, conservation districts, a variety of tax and bond measures, etc. These races show up on both the Republican and Democratic primary ballots — same races, same names.

And that’s the real travesty of what this moronic narcissist bleated out yesterday.

Cheers.
